Winter is almost upon us and it's really important to be ready, especially if you are living with a chronic and/or long term health condition.

Ensure that you have an emergency supply of antibiotics if you suffer with COPD.

Asthma sufferers - you should request your inhaler prescription in a timely manner. 

Also, ensure that you book your flu vaccine as soon as possible by calling our reception team on 020 8942 0094.

Advice for looking after you and your family in winter

It is advisable to keep a supply of basic medicines such as paracetamol and ibuprofen in your medicine cabinet.

Consult a Pharmacist first

If you have cold or flu like symptoms you should consult a pharmacist before making an appointment with a doctor. Pharmacists are trained medical professionals who can offer quick advice on a wide range of minor illnesses and can often provide over the counter medicine that do not require a prescription.

Please only go to Accident and Emergency (A&E) if you have severe chest pain and/or breathlessness.
